So, at times of ultimate procrastination, I usually lurk on my favorite online clothing stores and lust at beautiful clothes and shoes I pretend I can afford until I see the pound or Euro symbol and realize the amount is double in USD. Hmph.
Whoever the buyer for
Brown's men's department is, I seriously love you.
Brown's always carries the most classy and sophisticated line of designer shoes, even if it's a pair of sneakers. When I'm looking for shoes (expensive ones at that), I am always keen on, for one, the shoe having a unique look from other, more regular shoes... because honestly, what is the point of spending money on shoes that just blend in with every other suit shoe, sneaker, or boot? I usually want a showstopper. Since these are dream shoes, I also have to state that spending more than a thousand on a pair of shoes just frightens me... because if you do want to wear those crazy shoes out and be seen, they will be damaged. And who likes a pair of damaged $1000 shoes? Um, I don't. Maybe when I'm older and that amount of money will be viewed differently, then my thought process will change... but as of right now I'm enjoying my savvy 20 year old shopping thought process, thank ya very much!
Balenciaga High-Top Trainer $505
Everyone that knows me knows that I'm not a big fan of sneakers, but after running around in nice shoes for 5 days out of the week... your feet kill... so occasionally sneakers are a nice foot vacation. What really excites me about these trainers are the felt detail on the side panels. It almost looks like a Jackson Pollock on your high tops! Check out the details on the website!

Bottega Veneta Top-Stitched Oxford Brogue $820
See, this is what I'm talking about. The top-stiching around the shoe, as well as the WINGTIPPED detailing :)... this is a unique shoe. I would swipe these shoes up in a hot second, obviously...
Lanvin Leather and Wool High Boots $1342 (ouch)
For me, these boots are purely intriguing because the design is in a world by itself in men's fashion. I love the combination of dark blue wool and black leather, as well as the lace-up front. I actually loved these on the runway. The only thing that bothers me a little is the shape of the sole reminds me of those medically prescribed shoes or something. It has a high heel than the rest of the sole, and well, I'm flat footed so I feel like that would be annoying..
Dries Van Noten Leather Shoes with Wide Band Detail $762
I think I'm in LOVE with these shoes. From the dark brown color paired with the bondage detail of the wide black leather band, to the Chelsea boot-esque elastic panel on the sides... These are a fancy showstopping pair of shoes, my friends. Drooling...
Raf By Raf Simons Leather Two Tone Dr Marten Boots $588
Considering I wear my brown wingtipped Marc Jacobs boots almost every day of my life... these should naturally be a selection in my closet. Raf Simons gets it right with the two tone color pairing of burgundy and black, allowing you to wear these shoes with almost anything. Black wool, light denim, dark denim, you got it... it will probably work. Just no mysterious tribal pants, actually.. that might just work.
Ann Demeulemeester Tall Leather Riding Boots $1317 (my side hurts..)
Seriously guys... I've been looking for a pair of riding boots to fit my awkwardly long skinny ass feet for about 4 years and have failed miserably! Where the hell have all the subtle, no lace men's riding boots gone? Ugh... one day in the far off future I BETTER find a pair... actually, make that soon. NEED.
Dries Van Noten Leather Tassle Loafers $687
Umm..I know I can find a vintage substitute of these shoes, but they just look so shiny and pristine, don't they? I had to add them.
Remember, friends, if it ain't a showstopper (unless it's on sale for a ridiculously good price or at some consignment store on 7th street..YEA IM TALKING ABOUT YOU TOKIO 7)... maybe you should reconsider..
